I’m Ademar Arau, a songwriter, performer, and creative mentor with over 25 years of experience in the U.S. and Latin America. I help students turn their personal stories into music that feels honest, cinematic, and unforgettable.

I believe songwriting is storytelling that can heal, inspire, and create deep connection. That’s why I created Songtelling—a methodology that transforms powerful stories into even more powerful songs. With formal training from Berklee College of Music (Master’s Certificate in Songwriting) and LACM (Guitar Performance), I guide students to develop their voice, emotional identity, and artistic confidence.

My teaching style is warm, fun, creative, and highly personalized. I guide students by asking powerful questions that unlock emotion, memory, and imagination—because the best songs don’t come from formulas, they come from honest stories.

Using my Song-Telling method, I help students trace the emotional heartbeat of their experiences and turn it into lyrics, melodies, and structures that feel alive. Each lesson feels like a creative studio session: we explore melody, rhythm, structure, and storytelling through practical exercises and real-time feedback.
