Aidan McIntyre

I am a guitarist and drummer of 10 years, primarily focused in progressive rock and metal, and also versed in blues, jazz, and pop. I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho, where I taught guitar and drums at the Boise Rock School for approximately 3 years. I currently study at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music, where I offer private lessons to friends and students.

I believe in application-based teaching. Exercises and fundamentals are crucial to understanding one's instrument, but can feel useless without practical and relevant application.

I tailor my curriculum to students' individual goals and interests. As daunting as learning a new instrument can be, I want my students to have fun, having a natural inclination or incentive to practice and improve. 

My former students include individuals from ages six to twenty, of all experience levels.
