Albert Mansour
About
I am a Lebanese guitar performer and tutor, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance from The National Conservatory of Lebanon and have over 20 years of experience as a teacher and performer.
After studying the classical style for ten years, I started learning other styles like flamenco and Latin, Brazilian and Cuban, jazz improvisation, rock (electric guitar), oriental (oud & bouzouk), (watch my video on the right to learn more about the styles i play )
From these styles I was able to develop my own style of playing and composing my own music.
As a teacher i taught in more than 10 music schools and institutes, teaching all ages starting at the age of 5,
As a performer, I performed with local and international musicians in various music projects festivals and venues . Notably, I was part of a fusion album of oriental and occidental music, titled “Rootes,” which was recorded in Valencia, Spain. This project included some of my own compositions, where I worked alongside Spanish and international musicians.
Teaching Style
I teach guitar using two different methods, for 2 types of students: The Pro Method (5 years) This method is for students who want to take their time and become expert musicians. Over 5 years, students will learn classical, flamenco, and jazz styles. By the end of the course, you will be able to play some of Paco de Lucia's famous pieces, or the classical repertoire of Andres Segovia, or the jazz Bossanova pieces of Jobim,. You will also learn to improvise, compose your own music, to develop your own musical identity. The Amateur method Ukulele/Acoustic/Electric Method (1–2 years) This method is for students who want to learn guitar quickly and easily. In 1 to 2 years, you will learn to play chords, accompany songs, and play with other musicians. This course is perfect for beginners or anyone who just wants to play for fun or accompany singers.
My teaching methods are designed to fit your personal goals, whether you want to become a professional guitarist or simply enjoy playing. I offer not just technical skills, but also creativity, music theory, and improvisation. You’ll learn practical skills that will allow you to play real songs and perform, either solo or with others. Whatever your musical ambitions are, I’m here to help you reach them and discover your unique musical style.
