Alex Prol

During his 25+ year career as a professional musician, Alex Prol has been a teacher for over 16 years at renowned music schools in both Brazil and the US. He went to Berklee College of Music where he was voted top 5 guitar player of the year in 1998. After college, he started teaching music. Alex has taught students of all levels including music producers, famous songwriters, well-known + rising artists, and top session players.

     As a Grammy nominee himself, Alex has worked with multiple major artists, top producers, and Grammy Award-Winning/Nominated musicians. He is well versed in many different music styles and has performed for a wide range of audiences on tour. Alex is not only a guitarist but also a well versed songwriter and sound engineer having produced, recorded, and mixed music for TV and Radio, including his debut album LET IT OUT.

     With an extensive knowledge of music theory, performance, and recording/producing skills, Alex is the best of the best when it comes to helping students uncover their potential and reach their musical goals. He believes music is a universal language and has a passion and enthusiasm for all things music-related.

Every student is different. There is no one method fits all. It is my job to keep students engaged and wanting to learn more. I usually start by making a list of favorite artists and songs, then from there, I connect my teachings to these interests. I not only teach songs and techniques, but also show students behind the curtains of music through the lens of theory, songwriting, and composition. We even talk gear, biographies, musicianship and anything else the students may be interested in.
