Allyson Clare

A graduate of New England Conservatory, Allyson Clare has performed professionally in chamber orchestras including the Handel Festival Orchestra, chamber music with the Solar String Quartet at BAM center and Jazz at Lincoln Center among other NYC venues, and most recently a solo and duo recital program with pianist Cullan Bryant at the Kaufman Center.  Allyson Clare has taught for twenty years including as faculty member at two conservatory prep schools- San Francisco Conservatory and New England Conservatory Preparatory departments.  

     For beginners I put a great deal of emphasis on great technique- posture, bow hold, comfort and efficiency of the whole body with movement which reflect the feeling of the piece.   For more advanced students I draw on my years of training to provide advanced technical tips and practice techniques to empower the students technically, and ask musical questions of the students to hone their interpretation.
