Andre Roble

A professional musician with over 10 years of experience, I graduated in Music at FASCS in São Paulo, Brazil. In addition to numerous other courses and classes over the years, including the Bass Camp in 2017, led by the great musician and bassist Victor Wooten.

Over the years, I have played different musical styles such as rock, blues, samba, funk, jazz, bossa nova, R&B, punk rock... and I have been realizing that music and its styles are actually part of a great language and form of communication.

Currently, I work as a hired musician for different musical projects, bassist for the samba-rock-experimental band called Cantos D'alma Negra, and the band Vanda & The Youngs, where we perform versions of AC/DC, highlighting the band’s references in American Black music. I have performed in venues such as Blue Note São Paulo, Bona Casa de Música, Casa Mochet (Rio de Janeiro), among others in Brazil.
 

I believe in music as a language, and I treat it as such in the lessons. They are focused on the specifics of each sound or style, always with an open and active listening approach for the student's development. 

We work on aspects such as technique, feel, music theory, ear training, harmony, rhythm, repertoire… all with musical and practical examples.

I play electric bass (my main instrument) and acoustic guitar, and it would be a pleasure and immense joy to teach you and exchange ideas in this process of musical and personal development.

Classes can be taught in English or Portuguese.

Furthermore, my musical education has greatly enriched me by showing the importance that teaching and learning are a two-way street. I believe that music is part of a significant form of personal and group development, addressing essential points such as focus, attention, confidence, active listening, among other benefits.
