Andrea T.
About
πΉ Hi there!
I am Andrea (Italy, born 1982). I received training in jazz and classical music. I graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory, where I studied jazz piano and completed a program in electronic music in 2010.
I am friendly, empathetic and patient, both qualities that have been appreciated throughout the years.
π In 2009, I was one of the six semi-finalists of the well-known European YPF competition, selected from dozens of young musicians. On that occasion, I had the opportunity to perform at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam.
π I have been teaching piano for 20 years, both in the public and private sectors. Alongside my acoustic music practice, I also work in electronic and electro-acoustic music, as a composer and live performer.
πΏ As a jazz pianist, I am featured on a CD published by Challenge Records (YPF β Live at Bimhuis).
π As an electronic music producer, I have contributed to numerous releases and performed in Europe, the USA, Canada, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea.

π©πͺ In Berlin, he taught for several years at an international elementary school, working with children from all around the world. This gave him deep experience teaching the 6β13 age range, adapting lessons to a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and learning styles.
π« In parallel, he worked for many years at a music school dedicated to piano education, teaching students of all levels β from absolute beginners to highly talented young jazz musicians.
πΆ Alongside his work in schools, Andrea also provides private lessons, combining his experience in acoustic, jazz, and electronic music to deliver lessons that are personalized, engaging, and effective for students of all ages and levels.

Curriculum
My teaching methods are tailored to each studentβs goals, level, achievements, and musical direction. Lessons are personalized, flexible, and designed to foster both skill and musical understanding.
All relevant teaching material is readily available:
-
From my personal music database, which includes hundreds of scores I have collected over the years.
-
From non-copyrighted scores, which I can provide quickly via a download code for immediate access.
-
For kids, I normally suggest the "Bastien" piano methods, which covers several areas (reading, repertoire, techniques).Β
This ensures students always have the resources they need to practice effectively and progress efficiently.
