Teaching Style
I currently teach band lessons for grades 4-12 and adult learners. As a supplement to standard method books, I have a complete library of my own play-alongs, solos and band arrangements to aid in differentiated teaching. I teach students the basics through effective warm-ups, breathing, scales, guided listening, improvisation and ear training. My goal is to make the online environment a fun place for exploration where students can stay motivated while developing their music skills. I’ve discovered some excellent web based programs for play-along access as well.
