Anneke

Hi! I’m Anneke Coetzee, a passionate singer and pianist with a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Stellenbosch University (2022). I’ve been performing since childhood and have more than 15 years of experience in music, both on stage and behind the scenes. I’m also the owner of Outeniqua School of Music in George, South Africa, where I teach voice and piano to students of all ages and levels.

My professional background includes numerous performances and musical achievements. I’ve opened for well-known South African artists such as Karlien Van Jaarsveld, Joshua Na die Reën, and Elvis Blue, and I’ve performed internationally with the Stellenbosch University Chamber Choir. I’ve also participated in SUCC performances in Hungary and sang at Nelson Mandela’s Birthday Celebration.

I’m especially passionate about chord-based playing, worship music, and songwriting, and I love helping students explore those areas if it inspires them too. As a South African recording artist, I recently released Dit Voel Dit Reën, which charted on local radio. My musical path blends classical training with contemporary creativity, giving me a wide lens to support each student’s unique journey.

My teaching style is flexible and student-centered. I truly believe that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my method to meet each student’s needs and goals. Whether you’re preparing for an Eisteddfod, learning worship music, writing original songs, or just playing and singing for joy, our lessons will be tailored to you.

Above all, I want students to enjoy music—because that’s what it’s really about. I aim to create a warm, encouraging space where you can build skills, grow confidence, and connect deeply with the music you love.
