Dr. Antonella Di Giulio is an internationally trained pianist, music scholar, and educator with over two decades of teaching experience. Holding a PhD in Music Theory and Historical Musicology from the University at Buffalo, Antonella blends her deep academic knowledge with practical, engaging approaches to piano performance and music theory. She completed her Diploma in Piano Performance from the Conservatorio Statale “Santa Cecilia” in Rome, followed by advanced studies in Music Pedagogy at the Musikhochschule Aachen-Köln in Germany.
As a Suzuki-trained teacher with ESA Level 5 certification under concert pianist Lola Tavor, Antonella excels in teaching young musicians, focusing on creating a supportive environment for students to grow and thrive. She brings a holistic understanding of music cognition and performance, empowering her students to develop confidence, technique, and creativity.
In addition to teaching, Antonella is a seasoned performer, having played internationally as a soloist and collaborator. Dr. Antonella Di Giulio holds a PhD in Music Theory and Historical Musicology from the University at Buffalo, as well as a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the same institution. Her foundational training includes a Diploma in Piano Performance from the Conservatorio Statale “Santa Cecilia” in Rome and advanced studies in Music Pedagogy at the Musikhochschule Aachen-Köln in Germany.
