About

Arnab Sengupta is a western contemporary singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and

vocal teacher with a considerable body of work as an original artist as well as a voice

trainer.

An alumni of the revered Berklee College of Music , Boston, Arnab has over 15 years of

experience in the study and performance of contemporary music covering diverse genres

like progressive rock, pop, funk, jazz, r&b, etc. He has recorded a couple of albums of

original music in collaboration with top session players of Boston & New York. Apart from

being a performing and a recording musician,

Arnab has also taught several vocal students of all ages in some of the best music schools of Bangalore, enabling them actualize their

own singing abilities and also carve out careers as music teachers and studio session artists.

He loves performing and has considerable performing experience in India as well as Melbourne which is his second home.

He is currently working on some new material towards his third album.

Teaching Style

Arnab initially assess the students according to their skill levels and employs a judicious mix of technical studies  and tunes.

The technical studies are usually vocal exercises from the Marchesi Vocal Method book which is a standard in Western Classical Voice training.

He also covers other facets of music like sight reading, ear training, music theory, dictation, improvisation from time to time, to enable the students to become well rounded musicians.

He is also well versed with composition and song writing and has on several occasions have helped the students to bring their original music live.

6. Songwriting - Breaking down the process of songwriting

Will assist in the creation and development of at least one original song per calender year

7. Performance techniques and singing with the band

8. Preparation for Contemporary Music exams and auditions
