About

Hi! I am Bea and I am a singer. I was born in Portugal in 2000 and currently live in Austria, since 2023. I have a Bachelor (2018-2021) and a Master's degree (2021-2023) in Music - Singing (both in ESMAE, Porto, Portugal). I trained and work as a Classical Singer, so I work doing Opera and concerts. Outside of that, I love to sing pop, indie, and other genres, which is possible thanks to to my classical vocal technique knowledge.

I am a lyric coloratura soprano, performing a wide range of repertoire from Early to Contemporary Music. I have performed in several countries, such as Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal and Spain. I've sang in the Austrian (Das MuTh, Vienna) and Czech (New Opera Days Ostrava Festival) Premieres of Pascal Dusapin’s Opera “Passion”, in collaboration with Neue Oper Wien. I worked with conductors such as Walter Kobera, José Eduardo Gomes, Jan Wierzba, and Constança Simas, as well as ensembles like mdi ensemble (Italy), Between Feathers Ensemble (Austria), Ars Combinatoria (Spain), and Quarteto Contratempus (Portugal). In October 2024, I sang in the Italian premiere of Alberto Posadas’ “La Tentación de las Sombras” at Teatro Elfo Puccini, with mdi ensemble, in Milan, Italy.  In January 2024, I participated in Helmut Lachenmann’s masterclass in Austria, working on and performing his piece Got Lost for voice and piano. In 2022, I sang Olympia in Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann in the Grande Auditório of Convento São Francisco, Coimbra, Portugal.

I have premiered works by composers such as Alfonso Casanova, Canco Villarabid, Sofia Sousa Rocha, Telmo Marques, Ema Ferreira, and Cláudia Cañamero Ballestar. In addition to her vocal work, Gaudêncio Ramos enjoys integrating movement into her artistic projects.

I am currently specializing in the Master’s program (2023-present) in Performance Practice in Contemporary Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Austria.

Teaching Style

Singing has been the most therapeutic process for me in my life, and I love to help others to find their voice and heal through their own expression :)

Therefore, I am here to guide you and help you achieve exactly what you want, and try to find solutions for your challenges. The lessons are completely adapted to your needs and wishes.
I am very adaptable and we can therefore change the approach spontaneously to fit your particular situation!

We usually begin with a warm up and then go to technical exercises, to your songs or to discuss any topics or questions you might have - and brainstorm about them, to give you methods and tools to evolve!

I highly believe that singing is deeply connected to our minds and emotions, so my lessons are also a safe space to understand our inner struggles, while allowing the voice be a healing instrument for the self and body.

As a classical singer, I learned to pronounce and speak several languages. I can help you with: English, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French and Italian.

Curriculum

I have been teaching singing for the last 4 years. My youngest student was 11 years old and the oldest 28, so far. I've taught in a Music School in Matosinhos, Portugal, called Melodore, which is no longer open. Since then, I teach online and privately.
