Hello!
I am a professional guitarist, specialising in solo fingerstyle guitar. In 2019 (aged 16) and 2021 I participated in the international fingerstyle guitar festival "Mr. Guitar" in Moscow. Since 2020 I've started to organise solo concerts and smaller festivals in my hometown, Chisinau. Besides my solo activity, I am currently working as a session musician for local artists and playing in a gypsy jazz band "Yolka Band". I have been teaching privately since 2020, during this time I developed my own approach to teaching fingerstyle. Some of my students already play tunes from my concert repertoire. My love for teaching and entrepreneurial streak have led me to the foundation of the cultural organisation Auditoria 23 in Chisinau, where I host educational events and organise concerts with the emphasis on jazz and experimental music.

What can you expect from me as a teacher?
If you already play guitar (acoustic or electric) and want to level up, I can teach you some advanced techniques:

– travis picking and thumb independence
– harp harmonics
– percussion
– banjo rolls 
– improving dynamics

We will learn them either in the context of a fingerstyle arrangement or as a building block for your own music. 

If you are a beginner, then we will go step by step to the level where you actually need those techniques listed above. Depending on your goals, we can go in different directions:

– learning simple fingerstyle arrangements and gradually increasing the number of layers and their complexity
– learning basic chords, strumming patterns and riffs, if you are more interested in guitar as a "band instrument"
– learning theory (applied to real songs, of course) and the basics of improvisation, if you want to express yourself rather than copying other people's arrangements
