Hi! I’m Brian, a lifelong musician who has always loved sharing my knowledge and experience with others. Professionally, I have played for many artists in different genres, including: Gayle, Chris Cagle, Brooke Hogan, Laura Bell Bundy, and others. I’ve also spent more than a decade in the musical theater world, living in the pit orchestra. Education-wise, I hold a performance degree from the Berklee College of Music and I attend various music conferences and workshops to keep up to date with the latest and greatest. Being a student never ends.

When it comes to teaching, I tend to not use traditional exercises or books. I’m not a “page 1, page 2” kind of teacher and I don’t subscribe to any one method. Instead, I like to work backwards from a student’s goals. We then build a game plan and design the steps to get you there. Each lesson plan is customized just for you and changes as we progress or your goals change. I use multiple camera angles to fully show what I’m doing.

I welcome piano players at any and all levels. For me, it doesn’t matter what skill level you are right now. What matters is where you want to be in a few weeks, a few months and a few years. The best match for me would be someone who is serious and excited about learning piano: beginner, intermediate or advanced. Someone who wants to have fun learning but also put in the work to make the fastest progress possible. If that’s you, let’s set some goals and get started!

Teaching Style

My style is a blend of many things, I don't use any one method or standard exercises. Ultimately, the way I teach depends on how the student likes to learn and what they want to play. I want the whole experience to be enjoyable and keep the frustration to a minimum. The goal is to find a style and accompanying exercises that will inspire someone to practice and get them to that higher skill level as quickly as possible.
