Bruno Madeira
About
Concert classical guitarist and Doctor of Music offering advanced classical guitar mentorship worldwide.
My studio is designed for committed intermediate and advanced students seeking long-term artistic development.
Prizewinner in more than twenty national and international competitions across Europe and the Americas, I maintain an active performing career as both soloist and chamber musician. I have released two solo albums - Colunas (2022) and Arabescos (2025) - dedicated to Latin American repertoire and early music.
My doctoral research in guitar performance received national academic recognition, and I have served as a university professor and guest lecturer at festivals and institutions.
I work especially well with committed students and musicians (age 11+) who seek long-term artistic development and consistent technical refinement.
Students worldwide are welcome. Scheduling is arranged flexibly across time zones.
Teaching Style
My teaching combines artistic sensitivity with structured technical development.
Rather than focusing only on short-term corrections, I guide students toward building a sustainable technical foundation and deeper interpretative awareness.
Lessons integrate performance experience with clear musical reasoning. We work not only on “how to play” a passage, but also on understanding phrasing, structure, and stylistic context.
I especially enjoy working with students who practice consistently, bring thoughtful questions, and approach music with curiosity and discipline.
Curriculum
Lessons focus on the integration of technique, sound production, and musical interpretation.
Common areas of work include:
• Tone production and sound projection
• Technical clarity and efficiency
• Structural understanding of repertoire
• Stylistic awareness across musical periods
• Phrasing architecture and musical direction
