About

Hi prospective student,

My name is Carlos and I am a violinist / violist with 19 years of experience playing and more than 10 teaching at music academies, schools and as a private teacher (in-person and online).

I finished my Bachelor studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Music of Madrid  (RCSMM) in Spain and I am currently enrolled on the last semester of the master’s degree in Germany.

During these years, I have been an official member of several orchestras. Among them:

- JONDE. Young Spanish National Orchestra, of which I have been an active member since 2019.

- JORCAM. Young Orchestra of the Autonomous Community of Madrid.

- JOA. Young Orchestra of Aragon. (1st viola)

- OCC Sonora. Chamber Orchestra and Choir (Concertmaster)

- OFC25 Villas. Cervantina Philharmonic Orchestra of the 25 Villas. (Concertmaster)

I've also played with many others as an assistant (Camerata Trossingen, Orquesta Iuventas, Ataulfo Argenta Orchestra, Villingen Philarmonic Orchestra, Orquesta Ciudad de Alcalá, etc.)

While studying I had the great opportunity to participate in various educational projects, such as il Violinatti, which increased my interest in teaching.

A positive point to highlight is that being an active musician in orchestras and chamber groups helps me to become better, either when making music or when teaching it.

My experience with orchestras has allowed me to play in the most important concert halls in Spain and even to play in Saint Petersburg (Russia), Istanbul (Turkey), Helsinki (Finland), and halls in southern Germany and Switzerland.

Teaching Style

As mentioned above, I have been teaching since 2015, starting as a private teacher and then being hired in 2017 by schools and music academies, which was a great opportunity to continue growing and gaining experience.

I believe there is not a one and only miraculous method to learn how to play an instrument.
Every person is a whole world and that is why I always adapt to the needs of the student.
If something doesn’t work for you (or it bores you), don’t worry, we’ll find other ways to get you where you want to go.
