Hi, I’m an experienced and qualified violin teacher. I am friendly and patient and provide a nurturing environment for my pupils. With 10+ years teaching experience, I am passionate about developing students’ violin and musical skills as well as helping them to develop their courage and confidence. My teaching focuses on developing an acute awareness of technique, developing the musical ear, and having fun in the process! Lessons available for all ages from beginners up. Teaching Style
Having started violin at the age of five, I continued on to complete my Bachelor of Music - Violin in my hometown of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Several years later I decided to upgrade my teaching skills, completing a Graduate Certificate in Music Studies - String Pedagogy. I have been honing these skills now for a further 10 years, teaching predominantly from my home studio. I am experienced with preparing students for exams and other performances. My teaching focuses on developing an acute awareness of violin technique, developing the musical ear, and having fun in the process!
Curriculum
Through my Pedagogical Degree, I studied numerous string-teaching methods, including Suzuki, Colour-Strings and others. I now teach with an integrated style incorporating aspects of these methods where appropriate, catering to the needs of each individual student.

Bachelor of Music - Violin.
Graduate Certificate in Music Studies - String Pedagogy.
I am also a professional member of Music Teachers’ Association of Queensland and Australian Strings Association.
