About

Charles F. Gattis is a retired United Methodist pastor, with degrees from Birmingham-Southern College and Emory University. Photography has been an interest for him since the age of thirteen. He uses both DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, and has become fascinated with the photo opportunities of the iPhone. He has completed classes in iPhone photography online with the iPhone Photography School and taught iPhone photography in the Huntsville, AL area with LearningQUEST and Osher Life-Long Learning. He was president of the local camera club for five years, is a master photographer with that club, and has exhibited in their exhibition at the Huntsville Museum of Art. He has also exhibited at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Decatur, AL and with the Huntsville Art League. His images are readily available online at his website, cfgattis.com.

Teaching Style

My style varies between PowerPoint Presentations, examples on the iPhone itself, discussion, and review of images found on line and produced both by class members and myself.
