Chih-Lin Chou
About
Chih-Lin Chou graduated from Concordia University, Montreal Canada. MA, MTA Since 2003 she has been working to present traditional and contemporary music to a mixed but largely Chinese-Canadian in a concert environment. Through incorporate central conservatory of music grade examination in her teaching to encourage young musician to raise the professional quality of performance. And she also adapt various music therapy techniques in her teaching to help students overcome difficulties both in playing and mental state.
Teaching Style
I help students who have difficulties with rhythm counting and stability to improve their confidence in playing music. Through playing song with lyric to assist students to express their emotions and feelings into music. I offer one-on-one Guzheng lesson online and specialized in basic solid playing technique to achieve professional level of the Guzheng standard evaluation exam.
Curriculum
60 minutes lesson plan: 1. Relaxation singing and toning to metronome 2. Right hand techniques reinforcement 3. Let hand techniques reinforcement 4. Playing traditional music repertoire 5. Playing pop music of students favourite 6. Closing/practicing tips
