I have learned Korean with Chiwon for over 1 year and she is ALWAYS amazing. Her classes are always interesting and interactive, not long does she teach me essential Korean grammar and vocabulary, but also Korean culture and current trend. All these make the learning experiences very comprehensive and useful, and I am able to share with my friends the things I have learned from Chiwon. Highly recommended! You will love the language and the country more and more!

I learn so much with every lesson with Chiwon. She goes beyond the textbook and covers thing like culture and common sayings. She creates a safe space for me to practice and experiment so I’m comfortable speaking.

As a native English speaker, learning Korean is really challenging. This week, I finished my second textbook. As we were reviewing the content, I realized how much I've learned in my ~1.5 years of taking lessons with Chiwon. She is a great teacher and is happy to give comprehensive answers to the litany of questions I ask each week. I always look forward to our lessons and, while I know fluency will not come overnight, I'm excited by the progress I notice.

저는 2년 동안 한국어를 공부했고 선생님과 함께 시작했어요. 선생님은 최고의 선생님이에요! She’s the teacher I wish I always had when I went to school. I never felt like I was just a number in her class. As a person, 선생님 is very kind, patient, and understanding. She’s very intuitive and gets to know her students. In her class, I felt like she knew what my strengths and weaknesses were. She knew when to push me when I was shy to speak, but she never overdid it. As shy as I was to talk, she made me quickly understand that it was okay to make mistakes and not once did I feel embarrassed. Her lessons were always fun and kept me on my toes. We generally would start off warming up with her asking me basic questions, reviewing previous homework, going over new grammar, and then practicing, although each lesson varied. Some lessons she incorporated grammar while we talked about dramas or music. I never lost interest in learning Korean because she always kept me motivated. I’ve learned a lot from her so far and still have more to learn. 선샌님 genuinely cares and if you’re looking for someone to help you learn Korean, I would definitely choose her.
