About

Hi, I’m Connie—an experienced music educator, performer, and songwriter with 10 years of teaching experience and a lifetime of performance under my belt. I’ve trained at Berklee College of Music, collaborated with Grammy-winning professionals across North America, and studied under renowned mentors like Gabrielle Goodman and Pat Pattison. As a performer, I’ve toured the East Coast of Canada, released original music produced by hitmaker David “DQ” Quinones (known for his work with Beyoncé, BTS, and Demi Lovato), and brought powerful pop-R&B storytelling to stages across the country. Known for my vibrant energy, evocative vocals, and hands-on coaching style, I’m committed to helping students unlock their voice and creative potential. Whether you’re preparing for a performance, developing your songwriting, or just beginning your musical journey, I offer practical, personalized guidance to help you grow with confidence.

Teaching Style

As a music educator with over 10 years of teaching experience and a lifetime as a performer, I offer two distinct paths: vocal lessons for those looking to develop their voice, and songwriting lessons for artists who want to deepen their craft. My approach is practical, customized, and grounded in real-world experience—not generic methods or cookie-cutter material. Every lesson is designed around the individual because no two voices or creative processes are the same.

VOCAL LESSONS: My vocal coaching focuses on building confidence, control, and vocal identity. Lessons cover breath support, pitch accuracy, tone, phrasing, and performance technique. Whether you’re prepping for an audition, getting back into singing, or just learning to love your voice, we’ll work together to develop your sound in a way that feels natural and sustainable. I provide a judgment-free, supportive space that meets you exactly where you are—no experience required.

SONGWRITING LESSONS: In songwriting sessions, we focus on lyric development, melody writing, structure, and emotional clarity. I help students turn their ideas into complete, compelling songs—whether they’re writing for themselves, others, or looking to break into the industry. Lessons often include creative exercises, feedback on works-in-progress, and real-world strategies for finishing songs that feel honest and strong. My experience working alongside Grammy-winning professionals gives students a clear view of both the craft and the business of songwriting.

What Sets Me Apart: I bring a rare combination of artistic, educational, and industry experience. I’ve managed music teachers and taught across 53 schools, developed music curriculum, and worked with top-tier professionals. I know how to adapt to different learning styles and creative goals, and I care deeply about the artists I work with. Whether we’re working on your voice, your songs, or both, my goal is to help you grow—not just as a musician, but as a creative human being. Who My Lessons Are For I work with kids, teens, college students, and adults—beginners, experienced performers, or those returning to music after time away. Whether you’re pursuing a career or simply want to express yourself more fully, lessons are designed to support you and your journey.
