About

Hello everyone! I am Teacher Cordenn, or Teacher Cords for short. I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Music in Choral Conducting at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. As a Music Teacher, I have been teaching Voice and Basic Piano for a while now at a physical studio in the Philippines. I am also an experienced chorister and a Choral Conductor for years now. As a member of the Kilyawan Boys Choir, I was a delegate for the 2008 World Choir Games held in Graz Austria where we won 1 Championship Gold and 2 silver awards. I was also a part of the Philippines delegate for the 2013 World Vision Children's Choir Festival in Seoul, South Korea. As a Choral Conductor, I lead the Kilyawan Consortium of Voices Children's Choir to a Silver Award in the Folk Category of the 8th Singapore International Choral Festival 2024 that was held last July 28- 31 2024.

Teaching Style

As a teacher, I am very methodical in my approach when it comes to teaching voice and basing my teaching style depending on the skill level of the student. I am very lenient and considerate of how the student feels and thinks, and I am very open to a good discourse regarding the voice. I am very patient and willing to journey with the student no matter what and will give comments and suggestions on how to approach a specific kind of song or genre.
