About

Danial Sheibani is an experienced music educator and award-winning composer based in Toronto, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Toronto, where he studied under mentors such as Christos Hatzis, Gary Kulesha, and James Rolfe. In his private studio, Danial has cultivated a thriving community of over 20 students, offering personalized lessons in piano, voice, theory, and musical skills. His teaching journey has also led him to respected institutions such as the Greater Toronto Music School, Melody School of Music, and Thornhill School of Music, where he provided musical instruction to students of all ages and levels.

Beyond his role as an educator, Danial is an accomplished composer with works performed by prestigious ensembles including the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, University of Toronto Opera and Symphony Orchestra, and the Verona Quartet. His compositions have won multiple SOCAN Young Composer Awards and have been featured in media projects like the Amazon Prime series Red Sands.

Danial’s commitment to music education is rooted in his belief that every student has a unique musical voice that deserves to be nurtured with patience, technique, and creativity. Whether preparing for exams, recitals, or personal enrichment, he is dedicated to guiding his students toward musical mastery and self-expression.

Teaching Style

I take a flexible, student-centered approach to teaching, built around the idea that every musician learns differently. My goal is to help students build a strong technical foundation while also encouraging musical expression and creativity. I tailor each lesson to fit the student's pace and aspirations, integrating solfege and ear training to develop strong aural skills alongside instrumental practice.

Curriculum

For my students, I rely on the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum to ensure a solid understanding of harmony, analysis, and ear training. My vocal instruction is supported by solfege exercises and expressive interpretation, with a focus on vocal health and musicality.
