Daniel Sparkes

Hello there! 

My name is Daniel Sparkes and I am professional Trumpet/Cornet/Flugelhorn player with many years of experience performing at very high levels. I have two Honors Degrees; one in musical performance and one in the history of music. I studied at the Royal College of Music and Royal Birmingham Convservatoire of Music.

I am currently the Musical Director / Band Master for Norwegian Cruise Lines and the trumpeter. I perform and rehearse many different styles of music, as well as run the music for the Theatre shows with Singers/Dancers and Aerialists. 

I have many other years of performing and teaching, even though my teaching has been less of lately, whilst I have gathered professional 'On the job' training. 

I have great enthusiasm and I feel it is my time to pass some of my experience on to others.

My teaching style is very hands on. I have been taught my many of the great professional trumpeters in the UK and I adapt my lessons and style depending on the student. 

Being a good player does not make you a good teacher, so I have many ways in which to explain and help develop many of the skills required to perform these fantastic instruments, I will demonstrate and ask for you to copy me and carefully explain what I am doing 'behind the scenes' in order for you to completely understand.
