About
I am a professional Brazilian cellist, multi-instrumentalist, and music creator working across classical, contemporary, and popular music. My artistic practice moves between concert performance, improvisation, composition, and interdisciplinary collaboration, exploring the cello as both a traditional and experimental instrument.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Cello from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a Master’s degree in Music Performance in the same institution, where I was awarded a prestigious FAPEMIG scholarship. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D research in music, focusing on performance as a creative practice in collaboration with women composers, particularly the relationship between gesture, improvisation, and musical expression.
As a performer, I have played with orchestras such as UFMG Symphony Orchestra, UEMG Symphony Orchestra, and Orquestra Ouro Preto, and participated in festivals including Virtuosi Festival (Recife-PE), Festival de Música Colonial Brasileira (Juiz de Fora-MG), and international projects such as “Memories in Music” at the Akademie der Künste (Berlin-GER). My work also includes collaborations with artists like Letieres Leite, Fernanda Takai, and Itiberê Zwarg, as well as recordings with contemporary Brazilian musicians. In experimental music, I co-founded improvisation groups and developed projects combining music, theater, and dance.
Alongside performing, I work as a cello teacher, arranger, composer, and music producer. I have experience teaching students of different levels and backgrounds, and I am passionate about helping each student develop both solid technique and a personal artistic voice.

Teaching Style
My teaching approach combines solid technical training with creativity and musical expression. I believe that learning the cello should be both structured and inspiring, so I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and musical interests.
For beginners, I focus on building a strong foundation: posture, sound production, bow technique, and basic repertoire, always in a clear and encouraging way. For intermediate and advanced students, I work on interpretation, tone refinement, musical phrasing, and performance preparation.
A key aspect of my teaching is integrating creativity into the learning process. I use improvisation, listening exercises, and body awareness to help students develop a deeper connection with the instrument. This approach is especially useful for students interested in contemporary music, composition, or expanding beyond traditional classical training.
I can help students with:
- Technical development and sound quality
- Classical repertoire and interpretation
- Improvisation and creativity
- Performance preparation (concerts, auditions, academic paths)
- Exploring different musical styles (classical, popular, experimental)
My goal is to help each student not only play better, but also feel confident, expressive, and connected to their music.
