Danijela Kos
About
Hello! I'm Danijela, and I’m passionate about sharing the joy of music with others. I hold a Master’s degree from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and bring over a decade of teaching experience to my work as a private instructor and music school educator. I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels, tailoring lessons to support their individual progress and musical development.
I’ve performed at music festivals across Europe, Canada, and the United States, and have gained valuable orchestral experience through my work with various professional ensembles. These opportunities have enriched my artistic perspective and deepened my commitment to music education.
Throughout my career, I’ve participated in numerous masterclasses and been awarded several scholarships that have supported my growth as a musician. Currently, I’m pursuing my doctoral studies at McGill University. I look forward to supporting you on your own musical journey!
Teaching Style
I offer customized lessons for students of all ages and proficiency levels, with a strong emphasis on technical precision, musical expression, and clear, structured guidance. My teaching approach is dedicated to helping each student realize their full musical potential and achieve their personal goals.
I incorporate a diverse range of pedagogical methods, including Suzuki, Piatti, Feuillard, and Ševčík, to provide a comprehensive and well-balanced musical education. When appropriate, I integrate essential music theory to support a deeper understanding of the repertoire.
My goal is to equip students with the tools and confidence to become independent musicians. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, a child or an adult, I look forward to guiding you on your musical journey.
