Darius

Hi I’m Darius I live in Houston Tx. I am a voice teacher with a strong passion for singing and teaching voice to students of all ages.

I have taught voice lessons for 8 years in music schools and one charter. I studied voice at Prairie View A&M university under the teachings of Leon Turner and choir direction under Dr. Jan Taylor. My teaching is, to see students sing their best by doing scales and warmups they will be confident in themselves once they see their progress.

My primary instrument to teach is voice and I do have an understanding of music theory with voice and piano. My best part of teaching, is when my students can grasp what I show them and they can show me how much they have learned the task at hand and reach their goals.

Other than teaching I also do gigs online and produced my own songs and instrumentals. At one time, I also performed on featured tracks in studio and on stage. I look forward to helping the next singer to be their best.

My teaching style is musician based. I believe in starting my students with solid vocal technique, and sharpening their skills through ear training, pitch and rhythm, and sight singing.
