I’m Daryna, a professional flutist and experienced teacher with a background in solo, ensemble and orchestra performance across Europe. My goal is to help students of all levels find joy and confidence in their playing. Whether you're returning to the flute after years or preparing for auditions, my lessons are tailored to your needs!
Teaching Style
My approach in teaching is flexible and veery student-focused ;-) I adapt lessons to each student's needs, focusing on technique, expression, and musicality rather than just perfection. Lessons are interactive, fun, and structured for progress! After the lessons I am always open to help you in case you have any questions during the practicing process and I always provide my students with some additional materials for inspiration or self work.
Curriculum
My teaching approach is tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether you're a beginner or an advanced flutist.
With my students we mainly focus on musical expression, tone quality, and technical mastery.
We can also work with you on all extended flute techniques - from flutter tonguing to circular breathing, since I have a vast experience in playing contemporary flute music and teaching these techniques to others.

So, in short, we will work on technique, repertoire, musicality and anything else you'd like to develop while making lessons engaging and motivating.
Credentials & Affiliations
Born in Lviv, Ukraine in 2000, Daryna Bachynska received her first piano lessons at the age of six before switching to the flute at eleven. In 2018, she graduated from the Solomiia Krushelnytska Special School of Music, a specialized institution for talented young musicians, and entered the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland.
After successfully completing her bachelor’s degree, the flautist continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Liège, Belgium. In 2023–2024, she studied at the Cologne University of Music and Dance with Prof. Robert Winn as part of the Erasmus+ program.
Bachynska has since performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Athens State Orchestra, the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Odesa Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine.
She has appeared at renowned festivals, including Young Euro Classic (Berlin), Festival Junger Künstler Bayreuth, and Festival Respighi (Bologna).
Daryna Bachynska is also a dedicated chamber musician and has performed at many cultural events and festivals, such as the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, Flauti di Toscana, and FoliaMusica.
The young flautist has successfully participated in numerous national and international competitions. In 2020, she was awarded a scholarship from Powell Flutes, which included a sterling silver headjoint.
She has honed her musical skills through numerous masterclasses with William Bennett, Davide Formisano, Denis Bouriakov, Alexis Kossenko, Wally Hase, Juliette Hurel, Anna Garzuly-Wahlgren, Gaby Pas-Van Riet, Peter Verhoyen, among others.
Since 2019, Daryna Bachynska has been the principal flutist of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. Since 2022, she has been a trainee in the flute section of the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège.
