Hi, I'm David Lapadat, with a BA in music composition, Masters degree in jazz and pop cultures, and PhD in Music, where I researched the songwriting styles and techniques of Jim Morrison, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. 

I specialize in teaching songwriting, music theory, and singing.

Whether you're a beginner crafting your first melody or an advanced student refining songwriting  techniques, I'll guide you step-by-step.

My lessons are fun, personalized, and effective—drawing from years of academic and practical experience.

My approach is always from a multicultural point of view (taking into account subjects like poetry, lyrics, music theory, psychology, philosophy, art and literature). So, not only we'll discuss the songwriting techniques, skills and structures, but also the students will find inspiration.
