My mom and I took six private sessions with David, and we've also taken his group lessons, as well. He is absolutely phenomenal. We decided to take lessons since we are going to France in October for vacation. Highly recommended. He is a great teacher, is patient, and is pragmatic. David is a great teacher, he is very intelligent and proactive with learning but he also makes it fun, I really like his way of teaching, I studied French years ago and I thought I had forgotten it, but he in a few classes made me remember and see beyond what I knew, I learned a lot in this time with him, he is very good at Spanish and English even though he is a French native, he impresses me and inspires me to continue learning more languages, merci beaucoup pour tout. David is an excellent French teacher. We started by assessing my current level at the time and developed lessons from there. David is very energetic and passionate about teaching. I just finished up 10 lessons and found them to be very helpful and set me on a path to continue learning French.

jump right in to the thick of it I love it

My son looks forward to his French lessons with David. After being a virtual student during Covid-19, my son returned to school this year to find he was behind the students who went in-person last year. My son had a lot of anxiety from falling behind but said David “makes it (catching up) fun.”

David started out right away encouraging me to speak French, even when I didn't remember anything! He eased me right into the real world, not just spouting vocabulary words and grammar. That's exactly what I wanted!

His lessons are well-organized, thoughtful, and engaging. They fly by quickly, and keep me motivated afterwards. I think David was meant to be a teacher! I highly recommend him.

David is exceptionally good with children and he is an excellent teacher. My 9-year-old daughter loves him and she looks forward to his lessons all the time!

Superb teacher. The lessons are fun, interesting, and immensely productive. Each session is packed with conversation practice, notes and guidance on grammar and vocabulary, and explanations for idiomatic phrases, cultural practices, and nuances of the language. The entire lesson is documented in writing for easy reference and review. David is a gifted and energetic instructor.

David is a great teacher! I began to study French again after a 25 year break. Without much direction, David assessed my level and began to teach me. I have learned so many new things and the lessons are always different and fun. He has a lot of patience, too. I am always sad when our lesson is finished. I highly recommend David!

David teaches my 5 year old daughter, and I can tell that he is a father by the patience, humor and playfulness that he displays. He is engaging, thoughtful and effective, my daughter spends time after each lesson practicing what she learned because David makes it fun for her.

David has been outstanding from the start. Because of my inexperience with Skype and a technical issue, I had trouble accepting his call on my desktop computer, so through e-mail, Google Docs & cell phone, he patiently walked me through the Skype download onto my phone, and we got started. I'm not seeking standard Spanish lessons, but rather want to work on scenarios I'm likely to encounter with non-English-speaking latino customers of the humane society where I volunteer. David has been happy to tailor the lessons to my specific goals, working through various scenarios while pinpointing areas of my Spanish I need to improve and giving me helpful assignments and links to online resources. He is very friendly and encouraging, and offers necessary corrections and explanations in a gentle manner. I'm looking forward to my remaining four lessons.

David is a great teacher! He is very patient whenever I am struggling. He gives great suggestions and helpful hints, like listening to music in French to help learn the language. He really tailors the class to my needs and learning style. I am planning on signing up for Spanish lessons with him also once I am done with French!
