(It's amazing how many people are out there trying to make a living online, saying all kinds of things that we should just ignore.) Dawn's own work shows she has pretty much done it all (really beautiful work!) and is a person you can count on to set you straight and on the path to success. I'm so glad she's willing to teach and share this information, and I feel very confident now to proceed with my project!

She dove into the pattern, explained the kit and helped me through every step. I completed the piece, it looks awesome and I credit Dawn with keeping me on track and sane! Dawn definitely has a lot of knowledge and and is a skilled on her craft. She is wonderful at explaining things and is exceptionally organized while making it a fun experience. Dawn can easily “tailor” lessons based on your needs.

There was a bit of miscommunication and some on my part. I am a total beginner and she thought I was getting a refresher. So we came into first session with different expectations. I'm not sure how that happened. She tried to be patient with me but overall, I don't think we were a good match. I learned a few basic things that will be very helpful for me as I continue to learn.

Coach Dawn gives sewing lessons to my 12 year old daughter (while I keep notes and help to keep her on track). Dawn is punctual, communicates well, and has extensive knowledge along with patience. We are total beginners and she has helped us with basic sewing machine work and identify passed down sewing materials that could be beneficial now and down the road. We definitely recommend Dawn for beginners!

Dawn is a superb teacher! My partner gifted me a few lessons for my birthday. I've been wanting to get into embroidery but have struggled to launch; lessons with Dawn were perfect inspiration and support. Dawn's analogies, warmth, enthusiasm, and attention to detail make for a wonderful learning experience. I can't recommend Dawn enough! I will certainly keep her in mind as I continue learning.

I'm 11 and Coach Dawn has helped me in so many ways. From teaching me how to do a bobble stitch to teaching me different cables. Coach Dawn is one of the best teachers out there. I knew a few thing about knitting before but Coach Dawn really help me get better at knitting and learn new things. Coach Dawn really is one of the best teachers out there.

Wonderful Lessons. I was looking for lessons to get me started on embroidery. Dawn provided all the key resources, lists for materials & tools and lessons on how to start a piece, finish off a piece and 3 key stitches to complete my project. I will use Dawn again as I move on to more difficult projects to learn the "secrets" to make a more beautiful piece. Dawn is kind and concerned that I, the student, was getting what I needed out of my time with her.

Dawn is an excellent sewing instructor. She is working with my 14-year-old, who is a beginner at sewing. Dawn tailors the lessons to my child's level, ability, and interests. Dawn is very thorough, clear, and knowledgeable. I had doubts about my child learning to sew from online lessons, but it's been no problem--even though I can't help because I have very limited skills when it comes to sewing machines. Dawn has helped my child trouble-shoot when the machine's foot fell off, saving me the hassle and expense of taking the machine to a repair shop. Yeah! My child is excited about sewing and looks forward to each lesson.

Dawn is a superb teacher! I was an educator or 30 years and it is not often I find someone who can make something so new and challenging seem so easy and fun. I am so pleased to see that this old art form is being kept alive!

Dawn is awesome! Very thorough with her explanations and really customizes lessons to my goals. She’s very encouraging and always reachable for questions outside of classes. Her hardware set up was conducive to on line lessons so it felt as much of an in person class as it could get. The lessons have really prepared me and got me excited for many more sewing projects!

Dawn is an awesome knitting teacher. She is patient, friendly, communicates well with my teenaged daughter. My daughter really enjoyed each lesson and learned a lot. Even though this is an online lesson, it really doesn't affect Dawn's teaching quality. I highly recommend Dawn to whoever is interested in learning how to knit.

I have been taking quilting lessons from Dawn for many months now and I have found her to be a kind, patient and compassionate teacher. She is so helpful between lessons with questions and has videos to help. Being an older student with medical issues comes with challenges but she faces them with grace and compassion.

She taught me the basics of piecing and why this is important for your block to look nice. Her visual aids are good. She is very friendly and patient to learn with. Dawn was giving embroidery lessons to my 10 yr old daughter over summer. Every week, over the course of 8 weeks my daughter worked on a new project or new stitch. Dawn was very patient with her and my daughter enjoyed the lessons a lot. Dawn got her so much interested that she diligently finished her homework and was always looking forward to her next class.

Dawn is the best! She has a lifetime of knowledge, so every lesson is jam packed with learning.

We've had Dawn teach a variety of classes at the Simsbury Public Library (CT). Our most popular is the arm knitting class we open to Teens & Adults. Everyone gets to take home an infinity scarf and they all leave learning a new skill. Dawn works well with all ages, is patient, and really enthusiastic about teaching what she loves. We can't wait to have Dawn back to teach more classes this Fall!
