About

Denis Belyakov is a versatile saxophonist, trained at the renowned Gnessin State College of Music. Living in the Dominican Republic for many years, Denis blends a wide range of styles—from Jazz and Pop to Funk, Rock, Latin, and Classical—into his performances, studio work, and teaching.

He teaches saxophone at UNPHU University in Santo Domingo and also offers instruction on modern wind instruments like the AKAI EWI, EMEO, and Travel Sax—cutting-edge tools used by leading modern musicians.

Beyond performance, Denis also guides students in music production, teaching MIXING techniques and Logic Pro for a well-rounded musical education.

In addition to teaching, Denis is an active composer. His music can be heard on all major streaming platforms under his name, Denis Belyakov.

Teaching Style

Denis believes that a solid musical foundation begins with proper embouchure—the key to effortless playing, a rich tone, and true creative freedom. He guides students in developing their own improvisational “language,” helping them shape a distinctive, recognizable voice in today’s diverse musical landscape.

Fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Russian, Denis creates an inclusive, welcoming environment for students from all backgrounds.

His teaching style is attentive, dynamic, and creative. Recognizing that every student is unique, Denis adapts his approach in real time to meet each individual's needs.
