Mrs. Denise has demonstrated passion, mastery and, above all, a methodical approach as a teacher, when thoughtfully discussing the content and the intricate nuances of my repertoire and the necessary steps for my artistic advancement. Mrs. Denise has skillfully recaptured the spirit of a Baroque song, that is, “Dido’s Lament” by Henry Purcell with great vocal finesse, confidence and poise. 🎶🌹

My first lesson with Denise was fantastic! Although I was incredibly nervous to have my first ever singing lesson, Denise helped me feel very calm. I did not feel judged at all, and I'm really happy with the exercises we did. I can't wait to continue my lessons with Denise!

Coming back to singing after a 35 year or so hiatus, with allergies having killed my voice. Now that I'm on a new treatment that seems to be helping a lot, I thought I'd try some voice lessons to help me figure out how to ease my way back into singing. In one half-hour lesson with Denise, she had me solidly hitting a high note in warmups that I'd never successfully hit before--even before the allergies. Fantastic! I've already signed up for more.

She was very patient and encouraging. We got a lot accomplished in 30 minutes. I am looking forward to the coming lessons.

Denise is truly an incredible singing teacher! We've only had three lessons together and I already feel so much more confident than ever before. You can tell she really cares about her students and their progress, even as a complete beginner like myself.

Denise is a phenomenal instructor. She explains vocal techniques in simplistic terms that makes it easy for me to understand and apply in and out of practice. She's always able to pinpoint and critique what I need to work on and patiently helps with getting my voice where it should go. I've been taking lessons with her for about 4months now and have noticed major improvements to my vocal technique and range now compared to Day 1. I did not think I was capable of hitting a high note without vocal strain; however through her lessons, I am able to hit high notes comfortably.

Couldn't have asked for anything more on the first lesson. I learned a lot of technique and ways to get the most out of my voice. We made a plan for the following weeks.and plan to accomplish something every lesson from here on.

Denise is patient and encouraging with my 7year old son. She has clear goals of what he needs to learn to progress, and is making sure his theory knowledge is strong. She does not overwhelm him with work, but she is aware of many resources to draw from. I'm very glad we switched to her!

She is so nurturing, yet tough and really knows how to connect with the student to help them feel at ease and be their most confident self during and even after each lesson. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. She is that good of a teacher. Her intuition is superb. She knows not only what the problem is but how to solve it. She uses different approaches until we find the one that helps me get through a difficult passage. She has gotten me to do things that I never thought I would be able to do. And the fact that she is a wonderful person to work with is the icing on the cake. I could not recommend her more to anyone looking for singing lessons.

I had a lot of issues coming into her class, all caused by teachers who didn't know what they were doing or couldn't communicate it effectively, if at all. In one lesson, Denise has completely cleared up all my doubts, misconceptions, and set me on a path toward singing fulfillment. I am really looking forward to continuing lessons with Dense. And as an added bonus, Denise is an amazing teacher, a beautiful voice, and she models the singing superbly.

Denise is able to explain the techniques of breath work and proper singing with great creative description and insight that helps me to visualize the inner workings of my instrument and understand the foundations. I had some ideas about singing before but now I'm able to quickly feel what's correct or incorrect and resonate within various areas of my body, which feels really good. I believe I'm progressing at a rate that's encouraging to me, there's so much to discover and it's exciting when your voice is opening up to new places, without damaging causes damage to your vocal cords. I find Denise to be sharp, informative, artistic, bold, honest, efficient and generous with our time. We work together well and I hope we can continue to grow together.

Denise is the best teacher we ever could have hoped for, for our 7 year old daughter. My daughter absolutely loves her and is very enthusiastic about her nightly practice sessions. She has done 3 recitals so far and is improving fast with her piano. Denise is also a top notch vocal instructor as evidenced by her students at the mixed recitals. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Connectivity was not great. It froze up for 30 s intervals twice. I also did not get much out of it since we had trouble with the initial technical issues with google hangout. The biggest problem was the sound. Also I did not receive the homework I was supposed to get by today and it is already 8:35. I will see if I get the homework by tomorrow and then may try one more lesson to see if we have the same problems with the connection.

My daughter is always happy and invigorated after her lesson. She thinks Denise is a really neat lady. I like the fact that she is adapting the lessons to my daughter's interests.

Ms Denise is the best teacher I've ever had, and the one I always wanted. I had another singing teacher prior to her, but I didn't feel like I was going anywhere. When you take lessons with Ms Denise you feel like you can succeed and reach your full potential, and more. She pushes you to perfection - not in a way that's stressful or aggressive, but in a way that's highly motivating and encouraging. In *one lesson*, I saw a dramatic improvement. She's upbeat, efficient, and her explanations are simple but precise. With excellent analogies and visualization techniques (and a gorgeous voice to demonstrate), you understand and catch onto everything she says with total ease. She's super committed and genuinely involved in your progress. I personally want to reach the stars, and Ms Denise is not only the provider of the ladder, but also my biggest cheerleader ♥

Denise B. works with my 7 year old son via Skype. She does an excellent job explaining exercises to him even though they are not physically together. With her great communication and direction I have seen improvement in my sons vocal range. At times when he is having difficulty with an exercise or song Denise is very patient and gives good age appropriate examples and explanation until he grasps the objective. We are continuing to use Denise and are excited to see future progress.

Before I selected Denise as my instructor, I read all of the profiles for singing instructors. I thought she be would be best for me and that has proven to be the case. I enjoy her personality, candidness and appreciate that she insists I "get it right" before moving on.

I am very much enjoying my lessons with Denise. We are working on my technique and my pitch, both of which I have struggled with lately. Denise is very knowledgeable and uses imagery to help me visualize the placement of the sound which I have found to be fascinating and extremely effective.

Denise makes sure to make the best of the time you have with her, even if it's only 30 minutes, she makes sure to cover as much material as possible. She's very personable and works great with my 7 year old son. She's very good at talking to him at his level and learn what he likes to incorporate it into the lessons. Great teacher!

Denise quickly nailed problems with my technique and did an excellent job teaching me how to improve my technique. She was honest about both the good and bad points about my singing which I really appreciated. Getting a compliment from Denise feels awesome because you know she really knows her art (singing). She was the first vocal coach ever to label my style of singing, which I didn't know. Every minute of my lesson was useful and productive. I highly recommend Denise, no matter what level you are at.

My lessons with Denise have been great. I took lessons under the intention of performance in musical theater, and in under five lessons she was able to get it professional-ready. By no means does that mean that I'm done with lessons though. She teaches classical technique as the foundation and tells you specifically how your body function in order to produce sound, primarily using imagery to help you control functions that most people are not actively aware of. Lessons consist of exercises, explanations, and application to songs. She also answers questions and concerns over Skype, even responding to a practice video I sent to her. Denise will help you reach your goals. If you are looking into singing seriously (and even if you're not), daily practice and preparation for the next lesson is essential to making progress and Denise wants to see you progress. If you are a newer singer, she works with you to build confidence in your voice as well as the technique. Like any good teacher, she can also tell when you haven't put in the work, but will still be patient and invested in the lesson. Because my goal is musical theater, she helps me to expand my repertoire and work on songs that I bring in for auditions. She also reminds me to take into consideration other aspects of the performance such as dancing while singing and the long-term nature of performance, which makes certain aspects of technique especially important. I am in my second month of lessons with her. I took 30 minute lessons, which go by very fast. Good for beginners just trying it out, but serious students should look into longer sessions. Skype is hardly an issue and is actually helpful because what she hears is closer to what you might sound like on a microphone. Denise is the kind of person who would go over the lesson time in order to finish an explanation so you leave with a good understanding of the content. Highly recommended for beginners (and advanced students I'm sure) and I look forward to our future lessons!

I have always wanted to learn how to sing ever since I was little. I felt like I never had a voice, and that I was never going to meet anyone that could change my perspective on that. That’s until I came across Ms. Denise. I have had her for a few weeks now and I must say that she is a really great vocal coach. Ms. Denise not only makes you feel comfortable with yourself, but she also pushes you to yours limits. I personally would recommend her as anyone’s vocal coach, especially if you are a beginner like myself.

There are very few teachers who can balance passion, compassion, skills, and ability all the while coaching with understanding and humor. They say those that can't teach. Well, not in this case. She CAN and DOES, both teach and perform at a very high level. In the past, there have been numerous times when I have signed up for a class and after a few weeks, have dreaded attending because it was not what I was expecting. With Denise, this is certainly not the case. I have enjoyed working with her and have learned more in 10 months than in my previous 54 years. I highly recommend her to anyone! Thanks Denise.

My daughter, age 9, has been taking lessons for three weeks, and already is solving her problem of straining for the high notes. She is improving dramatically with the technique she is learning. Denise gets maximum performance from my daughter while still making the sessions enjoyable. My daughter feels good after her lessons, because she knows she is being encouraged to meet high standards. (And I think I am singing along with the radio better from trying what my daughter is learning!)

Piano and Voice My Grand daughter has been taking lessons with Denise since June. Linda's progress on voice is phenomenal and the piano lessons progress steadily.

excellent and helpful and patient I had my first lesson with her last thursday and I have to say that it was fun and exciting she is kind nice and a great teacher she made me see that I can do it if I tell myself I can and stopbtelling myself I cant it was a joy working with her and I know for a fact I will keep working with her because she will help me get better at what I love to do im looking forward to my next lesson with her!

Phenomenal She's absolutely amazing I couldn't ask for a better teacher she communicates in such a strong way with her student that it's unbelievable I will continue to keep using her as my vocal coach no matter where I end up in my music career.

Superb. Denise is not only a joy to be around but a true talent as a teacher, a singer, and a great friend to have. If I had the time I would take twice the lessons with Denise that I take now. Since we have been working together my voice is like a whole new instrument, I can't wait to see how she will help me progress further as we move into the future.

Pure Passion Denise has been an inspiration to me. I have only been taking lessons for four months and I already feel more confident in my ability to actually sing than I ever have. She is not an "easy" teacher. If you just want to take lessons but not really work at being your best I recommend finding someone else. She has challenged me to become better every week. Her passion for singing is a beautiful thing and it brings out the best in everyone it touches.

Great teacher! Denise focuses on the needs of my daughter Raquel, and encourages her to do and be better every time. She is sincere in telling her what she needs to improve.
