Destiny Love

Destiny Marie Love is a well-established voice teacher. She has two bestselling voice courses on Udemy: "Embody Your Voice: The Yoga of Sound" and "The Art of Free-Flow Singing and Speaking", with thousands of students from 72 countries. Her method is very unconventional and unique, but also very effective (read more about it below). 

Her background is in Musical Theatre and Yoga, and she fuses the two together for an effective approach to vocal opening and embodiment. She studied voice for 14 years, and has taught for ten. 

 

My focus is play, fluidity, and pleasure in the voice. We first work on getting to know YOUR instrument-- which is very unique for EVERY person. If you become my student, I will guide you through how to tune your body as if it's an instrument (through a yogic and energetic approach). You'll learn to lean into "what feels good" instead of "how it sounds" -- and in this way, pitch naturally corrects itself. I also teach how to include and transmute nervous energy, so that the power centers inside of you open up-- it's a mega confidence boost, and this is where the work is truly magical. Beyond a voice lesson, it gets your voice INTO your body--when that happens you are also able to engage with your life more fully. I also teach how to free-flow sing (freestyle) and multiple approaches to songwriting. If you play an instrument, we begin to weave together the voice and the instrument around session three to five. You will also learn how to use a shaker and sing at the same time.
