About

I’ve been teaching singing internationally for over 8 years—both online and in person—and have had the pleasure of working with a wide range of students, from beginners to professionals, as well as kids and adults alike. My own journey began at a very young age when I discovered a passion for singing, which led me to study Jazz Singing at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (Netherlands) with a minor in education. This academic background, combined with my ESTILL voice training, has given me a deep understanding of how the voice works—treating it much like a muscle that requires proper training, consistency, and care.

My personal experiences have shaped my teaching philosophy. After undergoing vocal surgery myself, I know firsthand how challenging and sometimes intimidating it can be to rebuild your vocal technique from scratch. This experience not only deepened my technical knowledge but also made me especially sensitive to the struggles my students might face. I’m passionate about empowering my students by showing them what they can achieve with their voices, both technically and expressively.

In addition to one-on-one teaching, I create educational materials and videos for Singing Carrots, an online singing tool, which allows me to share my techniques and insights with a broader community.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is as diverse as the voices I work with. I firmly believe that every voice is unique and must be nurtured through personalized instruction. I adapt my approach to each student’s needs—whether they respond best to pure technical analysis, descriptive explanations, or a more intuitive, feel-based method.

  • Core Principles: I treat your voice like a muscle, emphasizing consistent training, proper warm-ups, and a balanced focus on breath control, posture, and vocal technique.
  • Methodology: I start each lesson with a body warm-up to prepare your instrument (your body) and then move into tailored vocal exercises. Depending on the student’s level and goals, we might work on specific techniques, repertoire, stylistic nuances, or performance coaching.
  • Digital Tools: I use platforms like Zoom or Google Meet alongside SingingCarrots.com to keep lessons interactive and engaging. These tools help us track pitch, provide real-time feedback, and ensure that your progress is always a priority.
