Dornik Leigh

Hi, I’m Dornik — a professional drummer, producer, and recording artist with over a decade of international touring and teaching experience. I’ve had the privilege of performing with world-renowned artists and musicians including Jessie Ware, Alfa Mist, Rocco Palladino, Tom Misch, Rihanna, Donaeo, and many more.

My career has taken me to iconic venues such as the O2 Arena, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, O2 Brixton Academy, House of Blues (LA, New Orleans, and Disney World Florida), and festivals like Glastonbury, Coachella, SXSW, Pitchfork and many more. I’ve also made TV appearances on shows including Conan O’Brien, Jools Holland, Alan Carr, and The BRIT Awards.

As a solo recording artist, I’ve released two self-produced albums, featured in leading publications such as The Guardian, The Times, Complex, Clash, Afropunk and more. My music has received praise from legends including Questlove, Jimmy Jam, Pino Palladino, Anita Baker, and Adele — who even came to my very first solo show! Also as a producer I have worked with many talented artists including Phonte (Little Brother), Syd (The Internet), GoldLink, Jungle and Gavin Turek to name a few. 

Teaching Experience
Alongside performing, I’ve been teaching drums and music production for many years, working with students of all ages and skill levels. I also have experience teaching children with special educational needs, tailoring lessons to be engaging, accessible, and inspiring.

• 🎹 Music Production Lessons: Using Logic Pro, I can guide you through beat-making, recording, arranging, mixing, and creating your own signature sound. Genres I specialise in include soul, R&B, hip-hop, lo-fi, and pop.
• 🥁 Performance Insights: Learn not just how to play, but how to perform — drawing on my years of experience on some of the world’s biggest stages.
