I attended The University of Texas at Austin, where I studied guitar and got my BA in Recording Technology.

Currently, I am the touring bass player for The Oh Hellos. The Oh Hellos have spent the last five years touring across the United States, as well as Canada and the United Kingdom. We've played the Newport Folk Festival, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and a number of other festivals across the country. We have also been featured on NPR's Tiny Desk concert series twice.

I believe that private lessons are crucial to every musician. There are a lot of great online tutorial videos, but they can only help you improve to a certain level. As a private lesson teacher, it is my job to create a specific lesson plan that not only caters to your skill level and goals, but pushes you to better your skills. Encouraging uselful practice habits is also an important job of mine, as real improvement can only happen outside of lessons. Finally, my biggest job is to keep music fun. As much hard work as it requires, music can be one of the most fulfiiling endeavors one can pursue.
