Echo Huang
About
I am a Berklee College of Music graduate with a vocal principal and a double major in Songwriting and Contemporary Writing & Production. I have been a recording and independent artist for over six years, with extensive performance experience at venues including the Berklee Performance Center (BPC), Nublu NYC, and various college showcases.
I have been singing and writing for over ten years and have shared the stage with ASCAP Songwriting Award winner Gabrielle Goodman during her Asia tour. As a songwriter, I have written for multi-million-stream artists such as Thomas Ng and Lukey.
In addition to my work as a songwriter, I run my own artist project under the name Echo Huang, which has accumulated over 4 million streams and continues to grow. My music has been featured on playlists such as Jasmine and Tapioca and has received airplay on several London radio stations.
Alongside my career as an artist, I have experience teaching children ages 6–14 across a wide range of skill levels. I focus on building strong fundamentals, stage present, confidence, and creativity while tailoring lessons to each student’s pace and goals.
Music is my full-time career, and I am passionate about teaching, connecting with fellow musicians, and sharing the real-world experience I’ve gained as both an artist and songwriter. I look forward to working with students who are eager to grow creatively and confidently.
Teaching Style
My lessons are beginner-friendly and designed to create a safe, encouraging space where there’s no right or wrong — we explore what works best for you together. My goal is that by the end of each lesson, you’ll feel confident, satisfied, and excited about what you’ve learned.
As an independent artist myself, I also love helping students who are interested in recording their own music. Whether it’s choosing the right DAW, using plugins to achieve clean and polished vocals, or learning how to get the perfect take, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
Curriculum
Teaching Method:
My lessons are beginner-friendly and student-centered, with a focus on building confidence, healthy vocal technique, and musical creativity. Lessons are customized based on each student’s goals, experience level, and learning pace. I encourage exploration and experimentation, creating a supportive environment where there is no right or wrong.
Recommended Student Texts:
I use a combination of customized exercises, song-based learning, and practical tools tailored to each student. This may include vocal warm-ups and technique exercises, lyric and songwriting analysis, reference songs, and beginner-friendly resources. For students interested in recording, I also introduce basic DAWs, vocal recording techniques, and recommended plugins as learning tools.
