About
I am a professional singer, songwriter, and experienced voice teacher dedicated to helping each student develop a healthy, expressive, and reliable voice.
My teaching is rooted in solid contemporary vocal technique, focusing on building strength safely, expanding range, and developing the freedom to sing with power, nuance, and a full range of vocal colors — without strain.
While my primary approach is contemporary and musical theatre, I also guide students in developing clarity, control, and tonal flexibility that support classical music when desired.
Students not only learn how to sing — they learn how to understand and care for their instrument. I teach practical strategies for vocal health, efficient practice, and sustainable progress, helping singers avoid years of confusion and build lasting technique.
I create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where students feel safe to explore their voice and grow in confidence.
I enjoy working with:
• Adults who have always wanted to sing
• Returning singers reconnecting with their voice
• Teens developing healthy technique
• Singer-songwriters
• Anyone seeking greater vocal freedom and authentic expression
Lessons are thoughtful, focused, and tailored to your goals — whether you are building technique, preparing repertoire, or discovering your voice for the first time.
Online lessons allow us to work together wherever you are.
If you are looking for a knowledgeable, attentive teacher who combines technical clarity with musical sensitivity, I would be honored to support your vocal journey.
Teaching Style
I am a professional singer, recording artist, cantor, and voice teacher with extensive experience using the voice in both performance and leadership settings.
I served as a full-time synagogue cantor for nine years, following five years of part-time cantorial work. Today, I continue to serve as a High Holiday cantor at Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City, a role that reflects both my vocal training and professional trust within the field.
Alongside my liturgical career, I maintain an active performing life in both Israel and the United States. My original music is available on streaming platforms, including an album, an EP, and several singles, and I am currently developing new original work as well as co-writing a musical with my primary creative partner.
For the past four years, I have steadily grown a private voice studio, working with adults and teens to develop healthy technique, vocal power, confidence, and authentic expression. Few things are more meaningful to me than witnessing students discover abilities they did not know they possessed and learn to trust their own voice.
My work as both performer and educator allows me to guide singers with practical expertise, musical sensitivity, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to use one’s voice.
Curriculum
My teaching combines solid contemporary vocal technique with a highly individualized approach, meeting each student exactly where they are.
We focus on building a healthy, reliable voice by developing strength without strain, expanding range, improving breath coordination, and exploring a full spectrum of vocal color and expression. Students learn not only how to sing, but how to understand their instrument, practice effectively, and care for their voice for long-term sustainability.
I hold a BFA in Theater, and for students who are interested, I incorporate tools from acting to deepen musical interpretation. Whether working on musical theater, contemporary repertoire, or original music, I guide singers in exploring emotional connection, subtext, and authentic communication so that the voice becomes not just technically skilled, but expressive and alive.
Much of our technical work happens through the music itself. While I use targeted exercises when helpful, I believe songs provide the most meaningful pathway for integrating technique, artistry, and personal expression.
Students are encouraged to bring repertoire they love. Rather than prescribing a fixed song list, I collaborate with each singer to choose music that supports both vocal development and genuine artistic connection.
Lessons are thoughtful, encouraging, and structured to support steady progress within a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where singers feel safe to take risks and grow.
Rather than following a single rigid method, I draw from proven technical principles and adapt them to each voice — because no two singers are the same.
I do not require a single fixed method book. Materials are selected based on each student’s goals, level, and musical interests.
Lessons typically integrate technique directly through repertoire, allowing singers to develop skill while working on songs they are excited to sing.
Materials may include:
• Student-selected repertoire
• Targeted technical exercises when needed
• Contemporary, musical theater, or classical selections
• Interpretation and expression work
• Guided practice strategies
• Vocal health tools
Personal connection to the music is an essential part of vocal growth, and students are supported in developing both technical ability and artistic voice.

I have studied voice for over 25 years and remain deeply committed to ongoing professional development. My pedagogical training has included extended study with renowned voice teacher John Henny, and I continue to refine my approach through advanced study.
As a lifelong learner, I regularly pursue further training and continue to study voice myself. I currently work with master teacher Revital Ganot in Israel and consult with trusted mentors when questions arise, ensuring that my students receive thoughtful, informed guidance grounded in current vocal knowledge.
