About

I am an italian professional vocal coach and singing teacher specializing in contemporary styles including Pop, R&B, Soul, and acoustic music. I provide personalized one-to-one vocal lessons for students of all ages, from beginners to intermediate singers, with a strong focus on healthy vocal technique, breath support, tone quality, and expressive performance.

I currently teach at Lizard Music School in Florence, working with students of all ages and levels, including college-level students preparing for exams. I have also collaborated with several music schools and cultural associations, including Le Dodici Note, Libe Cultural Association, and PlayLoud Music School, providing flexible one-to-one instruction and performance coaching.

In addition to teaching, I have performance experience as a lead vocalist in professional bands for private events, as well as acoustic live performances and jam sessions, giving students real-world insight into stage presence, musicality, and stylistic interpretation.

Teaching Style

My lessons always begin with breathing exercises, providing a solid foundation for healthy singing. I start with a vocal warm-up, then move to technical exercises tailored to each student’s needs, and finally work on the student’s repertoire.

Lessons are flexible and fully adapted to each student’s goals, abilities, and vocal profile. Depending on the student, I may include:

  • Theoretical explanations

  • Guidance on instrumental accompaniment

  • Techniques for vocal health

  • Body or facial exercises (stretching, posture preparation)

This approach ensures that every student develops technical skill, musical understanding, and a healthy, confident voice, while enjoying a supportive, productive, and personalized learning environment. Lessons are structured yet adaptable, helping students achieve their goals efficiently and with confidence.

Curriculum

My teaching method is based on practical experience and solid theoretical training. I was trained in the Vocal Equilibrium Method (VEM), which helps develop a balanced, healthy voice tailored to each singer’s individual tendencies.

I studied foundational texts that shaped my approach, including:

  • Il Canto Moderno by Franco Fussi & Matteo Ratti

  • Canto Leggero by Tullio Visioli

  • Teoria e Lettura Musicale and Armonia Musicale Moderna (Lizard School texts)

  • Manuale di Ear Training del Musicista Moderno by Luca Gelli & Andrea De Donato

  • Io canto and La Voce, il Canto by Silvia Magnani

  • Anatomy of the Voice by Theodore Dimon

  • Teaching Contemporary Singing by John Henny

While my lessons are mainly practical, I incorporate relevant insights from these texts — for example, on vocal registers, posture, and vocal health — to help students understand and care for their voice, without requiring them to use the books themselves.
