Hey there! I'm Emily Zimmer, a music lesson teacher with 25 years of experience in recording, performing, and playing guitar, bass guitar, and writing music professionally. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of teaching music lessons and classes to thousands of students for over 18 years.

I believe that enjoying the process of learning is essential for students to reach their full potential.
Curriculum
My private music teaching method is built on a balance of strong fundamentals and creative exploration. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, blending technique, music theory, and ear training with practical skills like improvisation, songwriting, and performance. I value patience, encouragement, and making learning enjoyable, so students gain confidence while developing lifelong musicianship. Above all, I believe music education should inspire creativity, self-expression, and a genuine love of making music.
Credentials & Affiliations
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Business from Carroll University, where I gained a deep understanding of the music industry and its dynamics. Additionally, I earned an Associate's Degree in Music Occupations from Milwaukee Area Technical College, which further enriched my expertise in music education. I've also pursued advanced studies in contemporary music, jazz, and classical guitar at the college level.
