About
Hi! I am a New York based French-Australian singer, composer and performer. I have 10 years of experience teaching voice and love it very much, and I would be delighted to be a part of your singing journey.
I currently teach at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts as well as other institutions.
I moved from Paris three years ago where I was teaching voice, choir, musical theater, theater, improvisation and rhythm in conservatories and I co-founded the Modern Music department at Conservatoire Erik Satie.
I studied in Australia, Paris and NY in jazz and classical voice, musical theater and improvisation. I regularly perform new music, jazz and musical theater in prestigious projects and venues in Paris, New York and Australia.
Please don't hesitate if you have any questions and I'm ooking forward to hearing from you and starting a vocal journey.
Teaching Style
Teaching is a big part of my life and I love transmitting very much! The goal is to learn in a relaxed, precise and above all fun environment! I teach beginners to professionals, children to adults, singing for fun to singing professionally, from musical theater to jazz to pop to French chansons to free improvisation.
I design singing objectives with each student so we can work together towards your goals - whether that be to sing better in front of friends or preparing industry auditions. The classes include vocal technique and interpretation, but can also integrate a focus on rhythm, improvisation, music theory ...depending on your desires! And the classes can be in English or in French.
I also offer coaching and interpretation for the preparation of castings, shows and concerts.

A plural Franco-Australian artist, Emmanuelle Zagoria trained in theater at the École Jacques Lecoq, in classical and jazz singing in various Parisian conservatories, in classical percussion in Australia and in musical theatre in several Parisian and Australian schools. She studied free improvisation with Hélène Breschand, Meredith Monk and Joëlle Léandre. She performed lead in New - the improvised musical, the free improvisation trio "Voix La Harpe Trompette", in several original musicals in Paris and sings and writes with Andy Emler, among others.
She writes/composes for other artists such as the Australian contemporary music ensemble Greywing Ensemble and creates her own shows. Wanting to transmit complex subjects in the form of musical theater, she studied political science and then created the solo "Vocal Experimentations" in New York, and was co-author/composer of La Mauvaise Voie, a political musical presented in Paris and Avignon for two seasons. She is creating two new pieces: a musical drama There She Is and a feminist electro-experimental musical solo What’s In the Handbag?
Eager to transmit, she taught singing, rhythm and free improvisation in several Parisian conservatories, theater with the Drama Ties company and art and politics at the University of Paris 8.
After living in New York 2011-2013, she just moved back from Paris to continue developing and performing original musicals in an environment that celebrates them. She is very excited to start this new adventure.
