About

I am a Berklee College of Music graduate (Bachelor of Professional Studies – Interdisciplinary Music Studies, Summa Cum Laude) with over 20 years of professional experience as a performer and more than 10 years of teaching experience in schools and private education.

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with students of all ages and levels, preparing them for live performances, theatre productions, and stage presentations. My background combines formal musical training, traditional Mediterranean music, and real-world performance experience.

I teach:

• Guitar (beginner to advanced)
• Greek laouto and Mediterranean string traditions
• Vocal training and expressive singing
• Modal improvisation and musical interpretation

My teaching philosophy is based on structure, clarity, and artistic development. I believe that strong technique must go hand in hand with musical expression and confidence.

For beginners, I build a solid technical and rhythmic foundation.
For intermediate and advanced students, I focus on refinement, stylistic depth, improvisation, and stage presence.

Lessons are personalized, goal-oriented, and designed to help students grow not only as players, but as musicians.

Whether you are starting your journey or refining your artistic voice, I provide a clear path forward with patience, professionalism, and high standards.

I look forward to working with dedicated students who are ready to grow.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is structured, supportive, and results-oriented.

With more than 10 years of teaching experience in schools and private education, I have developed a clear method that adapts to each student’s level, age, and goals. I combine technical discipline with artistic freedom, helping students build both skill and confidence.

For beginners, I focus on:

• Proper technique and posture
• Rhythm and timing development
• Ear training and musical awareness
• Step-by-step repertoire building

For intermediate and advanced students, lessons include:

• Technical refinement
• Modal understanding and improvisation
• Stylistic depth in Mediterranean and traditional music
• Vocal expression and stage presence

I strongly believe that learning music should be both organized and inspiring. Students progress through a clear path, but creativity and personal expression are always encouraged.

My goal is to help each student develop not only as a player, but as a complete musician with confidence and musical identity.

Curriculum

My teaching method combines structured technical development with deep musical understanding and expressive performance.

Lessons are built around three core pillars:

1. Technique & Foundation
We focus on posture, hand positioning, tone production, rhythm accuracy, and technical control. Strong fundamentals create long-term progress.

2. Musical Understanding
Students develop ear training, modal awareness, harmonic understanding, and stylistic vocabulary. I place strong emphasis on rhythm and phrasing, especially within Mediterranean and modal traditions.

3. Expression & Performance
Music is communication. We work on interpretation, dynamics, stage confidence, and artistic identity. For vocal students, this includes breath control, projection, and expressive phrasing.

Each lesson is personalized and structured according to the student’s level and goals. I provide clear progression plans so students always understand what they are working toward.

Depending on the student’s level and focus, materials may include:

• Technical studies and scale systems
• Modal exercises and improvisation frameworks
• Selected classical and contemporary repertoire
• Mediterranean and Greek traditional repertoire
• Ear training and rhythm development exercises

For vocal students:

• Breathing and support exercises
• Tone placement studies
• Interpretation and stylistic repertoire

In addition to written materials, I provide structured exercises and customized practice plans to ensure consistent progress between lessons.
