About

I was born in Calabria in 1991 and began playing at the age of five when I received my first guitar from my uncle, who was also a guitarist and music enthusiast. By the age of ten, Steve Howe (a historic composer from Yes) became my main source of inspiration, as his acoustic guitar pieces introduced me to the world of fingerstyle. Starting in 2002, I studied for several years with the jazz musician Colombo Menniti, after which I fully dedicated myself again to studying the acoustic guitar. This journey, consisting of studies, workshops, and informal meetings, has allowed me to meet the most famous and important guitarists of the international fingerstyle scene, such as Woody Mann, Duck Baker, Peppino D’Agostino, Clive Carroll, Tony McManus, and Dave Mastrangelo. In 2020, I released my first CD, Acoustic Journey, which consists exclusively of original songs, while I am now working on creating two new albums, one of which features unreleased songs written by Duck Baker.

I also have a degree in Drama, Art, and Music Studies.

"I think this (relatively) young guitarist is already one of the best Italian fingerpickers I have heard" - Duck Baker

"For me, he is one of the young fingerstyle guitarists who deserves attention and gives me hope for the future of our beloved instrument." Peppino D'Agostino

"He's really got a great set of hands and distinct style of his own" - Eric Lugosch

Teaching Style

Since I started teaching a few years ago, my approach has been to build a lesson that starts with the goals of each student. I realized that the most effective way to make the study of an instrument and music in general interesting is to work as soon as possible on what we are passionate about. For example, if a beginner approaches the guitar because there are a number of pieces they would like to be able to play, it is good to use this motivation to teach them a whole range of techniques and theoretical concepts in addition to the songs themselves, which will be beneficial to them forever. "Ludendo docere" is an old Latin motto, meaning "teach with fun," and that is the principle upon which I have based my teaching in recent years.
