Euphrosyne Capodistria

Euphrosyne Capodistria is a piano teacher that lives and teaches in London, United Kingdom.
Born in 1981 in Thessaloniki, Greece she started her studies at a professional music school at
the age of six and graduated with distinction in 2001 from the classes of classic piano and
senior music theory of the Aleksandreio Conservatoire Thessaloniki. Two years later she received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy.She has also participated in piano and music theory seminars with professors such as D.Toufeksis, G.Hatzinikos, P. Adam, M.Kapatsinskaya, M. Tirimo, N. Astrinidis, C. Samaras, P. Crammer.
As part of her Piano Pedagogy course, she was required to teach free piano lessons under the supervision of her Pedagogy professor and teacher. After that intense and profound experience she decided to make teaching her career choice, so from 2003 she started teaching in her hometown.
In 2005 she joined Philippos Nakas one of the greatest Music Colleges in Greece and in 2012 made the decision to relocate to London. Recently she joined the Blackheath Conservatoire of Music & Arts Ltd , Osho's Music Boutique and various agencies for private tuition.
Also a founding member of the music band Return To Litany has given various performances in venues, festivals and music competitions for over a span ten years. She has recorded for the two albums the band came to complete, "Window"​ 2008 and "Mind Out"2012. She has appeared in atomic classic piano recitals of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Moni Lazariston and has also been member of the female choir Cyril & Methodius. 

After sixteen years of music teaching in Greece and UK, I have gained valuable experience in piano and music theory lessons. For me music apart from being a way of expression, relaxation and creative occupation it is a journey that develops fantasy and a truly powerful means of communication through the international language of sounds. The opening to the music world precedes method and the development of the unique relationship between teacher and student through patience, persistence and understanding.
