About
I am a classically trained pianist with over 12 years of performance experience and 6+ years of teaching piano and early childhood music to students aged 3–25. Currently pursuing my Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano at Manhattan School of Music (expected 2028, studying with Prof. Inesa Sinkevych), I completed pre-conservatory training at the Middle & High School Affiliated to the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
As a Teaching Artist at Manhattan School of Music, I lead engaging sessions for young children, incorporating movement, storytelling, and interactive activities in diverse, family-centered environments. In private teaching since 2019, I’ve guided beginners to advanced students through personalized lessons, preparing them successfully for ABRSM and RCM exams, recitals, competitions, and collaborative performances.
Performance highlights include being a featured soloist in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 at the IPPA Conero International Piano Festival (Italy, 2025), masterclasses at Vienna’s Golden Hall (2023), and multiple gold medals in competitions such as the Santa Cecilia (Portugal & China), World Classical Music Awards (2021), Manchester International Music Competition (2023), and Guiyang International Piano Competition (2019).
Bilingual in Mandarin and English, I thrive in multicultural settings and love helping students build confidence, technique, and a lifelong joy in music.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is warm, patient, playful, and child-centered, blending classical rigor with creativity to make music feel accessible and fun. I create structured yet flexible lessons tailored to each student’s age, interests, pace, and goals—fostering exploration, imagination, confidence, and steady progress.
For young beginners (preschool to early elementary), I emphasize sound exploration, movement, rhythm games, storytelling, and basic technique through interactive, hands-on activities. For older students, I integrate classical technique, music theory, ear training, sight-singing, harmony, and repertoire building.
