Gabriel Karger
About
Gabriel Karger is a violinist and teacher from Vienna. He received his first violin lessons from Anneliese Gahl and graduated from the Musikgymnasium Wien in 2013. He holds a Bachelor degree in Violin from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and a Masters Degree from the Music and Arts University of Vienna, where he studied with Prof. Dominika Falger, section leader of the second violins in the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
Gabriel Karger performs regularly as a member of the Wiener Concert-Verein and the Ambassade Quartett, and has appeared with various ensembles in Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, and the UAE.
In addition to his performance work, he has organized concerts, including a benefit event at the Vienna Musikverein in 2022, raising 50.000€ for humanitarian aid.
Teaching Style
My teaching style emphasizes a solid technical foundation as the key to overcoming musical challenges. I focus on clear, structured practice methods that help students build control and confidence. Technique is not an end in itself, but a tool that enables expressive, relaxed, and independent playing at every level.
