Hi,  I'm a professional actor with over 20 years of experience in Hollywood. I've performed in live theater, storytelling, and improv, as well as appeared on popular TV shows like 2 Broke Girls, 9-1-1, and Scrubs. I've had the privilege of co-starring alongside actors like John Travolta, Edie Falco, and Amy Poehler among many others. For nearly a decade, I've also been teaching improv, and I’m passionate about helping people discover the joy and benefits of improvisation

When I’m not teaching or performing, you’ll find me with my nose in a book, chilling with my cats, or eating ice cream. Lots of ice cream. Seriously, I cant get enough!

Gary is a master of his craft. I learned so much in this improv class. I wasn’t sure about improv and I had stage fright to be perfectly honest, but Gary built my confidence and my skill level and quite honestly I feel on top of the world and ready to tackle anything from the groundlings to UCB. Gary has incredible patience and wisdom and improv chops…. Oh, and did I mention he’s hilarious. He’s a teacher and a mentor and I can’t recommend this class enough.

Gary is a wonderful teacher who is kind and very patient with his students and can provide you with guidance and insights regardless of your previous improv experiences. I use his class as a "booster" class to help me to stay sharp when I perform on stage and it's been a wonderful experience working with him and the other members of his class. Try it, you'll like it!

I recently had the pleasure of taking private one-on-one improv classes with Gary and I cannot recommend him highly enough! From the moment we began our sessions, it was clear that he possessed a deep understanding of the art of improv, as well as an uncanny ability to tailor his approach to my specific needs and goals. His teaching style is a perfect blend of patience, encouragement, and constructive criticism, which fosters a safe and supportive environment for growth. Gary has an incredible knack for pinpointing exactly what I needed to work on and was able to provide personalized feedback and practical exercises to help me overcome any obstacles. One of the most valuable aspects of his instruction is his focus on the core principles of improvisation - listening, agreement, and commitment. He consistently emphasizes the importance of being present and fully engaged in the scene, which has had a transformative effect on my performances. Moreover, Gary possesses a remarkable ability to connect with his students, making our sessions enjoyable and even more productive. His enthusiasm and passion for improv are infectious, and I found myself looking forward to each lesson with excitement. Since working with Gary, my confidence and abilities in improv have grown exponentially. He has helped me break free from my comfort zone and explore new characters, situations, and emotions on stage. I truly believe that his guidance has made me a more versatile and well-rounded performer. In conclusion, if you're looking to take your improv skills to new heights, Gary is undoubtedly the teacher you've been searching for. Regardless of your experience level, he will provide you with the tools and insights necessary to elevate your craft. Don't miss this opportunity to work with a true master of improvisation!

Teaching Style

I specialize in working with beginners and non-actors.  My lessons are interactive, filled with games—because that’s what improv is all about! It's a fun, engaging way to learn.

I’ll work one-on-one with you, even as your scene partner, making sure the experience is tailored to your level and goals. I understand how intimidating improv can be for first-timers, so I ensure a safe, non-judgmental space where you can have fun and grow,
