Geri Forkner

Geri creates mixed media art from her studio in Tennessee, teaches internationally, and her winning art is in museum collections. She was awarded an Appalachian Craft and Culture Fellowship at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and has taught at John Campbell Folk School for 19 years. She was the driving force behind the off-site exhibits at the Handweavers Guild of America's Convergence in Knoxville, TN. As member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, Geri cherishes the old traditions while using fibers in innovative ways. Her creativity is contagious and her students are inspired to think outside the box.
