About

Welcome to my studio! I love helping kids play music that's super fun, level-appropriate, and fulfilling. A grounding in technique and theory helps kids achieve their goals so they don't get bored. I am passionate about always improving my teaching and expanding my music library.

My goals are:
-Provide a comfortable, encouraging atmosphere that inspires growth in and outside of music.
-Inspire a life-long love of music.
-Provide optional performance and competition opportunities in the community.
-Develop healthy habits that cross over to other areas in life.
-Most importantly, we have fun at this studio!

Teaching Style

I started piano at age 5, as many piano teachers do. I studied with Rowan University piano faculty at age 15 when I decided to focus my studies solely on piano. While working on my degree at Brigham Young University, I took lessons in Vienna, Austria with faculty at the University of Vienna and the Vienna Konservatorium. In 2014, I graduated with a piano performance degree from BYU under Dr. Richard Anderson. Since then I’ve taught privately in Utah, judging in Encore and other regional competitions. I worked at the Utah Piano Academy for two years before moving states. I have a pretty full piano studio with kids of all ages. I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association

Curriculum

I love using Faber method books (My First Piano Adventures, Faber Piano Adventures, The Developing Artist Series, ect.) With the goal of course to get out of method books and play more pieces. I also just love having kids "mess around" on the piano, compose little pieces, turn on different settings on their keyboards.
